Part-Time Shift - 2 shifts - Nights 7p-7a

Our PCU is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. Are you looking to increase your knowledge base? Our PCU leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member.

Patient Population: Medical/Cardiac - Sepsis, Post Ablation, Insulin Drips, Cardiac Drips, COVID, Acute Cardiac and Neuro Admitting Patients.

Patient Ratios: 1:4

Number of Beds: 22 beds

Department Specifics: Our unit is team-centered, positive, supportive, and able to help each other out. We strive for excellence and development, promoting each nurse to the height of their abilities and ambition. Each shift provides something different, which makes this the perfect unit to develop as a nurse.

Established in 1964 as a community hospital, funded through the Irving Hospital Authority, the facility now offers 293 licensed beds. Each year, BSWMCI delivers care through 32,991 outpatient visits, 76,730 emergency department visits, 11,753 admissions and more than 2000 babies are born each year at this facility. BSWMCI offers care across a variety of specialties including oncology, digestive, and cardiovascular care and has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a "Best Hospital" for COPD, Heart Attack, Heart Failure, Pneumonia, Stroke, Kidney Failure and Maternity Care. In 2022, BSWMCI achieved its third accreditation in the Magnet Recognition Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award by the Commission on Cancer and was once again voted Best Medical Center by the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce.

Registered Nurse Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
• 1yr PCU RN experience
• License/Certification
• RN – Registered Nurse
• BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
