BAS Controls Technician

About the Opportunity A rapidly expanding HVAC and Building Automation services provider is seeking skilled BAS Controls Technicians throughout Florida. This role supports installations, service,commissioning, and troubleshooting across commercial and mission-critical facilities. Location: Fort Myers, Florida Hiring: Mid-level and Senior-level Technicians Pay: $25.00 – $40.00/hour (based on experience) Vehicle: Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (varies by role/region) Key Responsibilities Install, terminate, calibrate, and troubleshoot BAS field devices, controllers, sensors, relays, and control panels Conduct point-to-point checkout, device verification, diagnostics, and functional testing Support system integrations using BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks communication protocols Work closely with project managers and controls programmers during commissioning and project closeout Provide professional on-site service, customer support, and technical assistance Document all work performed, test results, and system modifications Ideal Candidate Experience as a BAS Controls Technician or similar HVAC controls position Hands-on background with DDC hardware, low-voltage wiring, and device commissioning Working knowledge of HVAC equipment including AHUs, VAVs, RTUs, chillers, and boilers Familiarity with BAS protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks Strong troubleshooting skills and excellent customer-facing communication Valid driver’s license with ability to travel throughout Southwest Florida What’s Offered Competitive hourly pay: $25.00 – $40.00/hour (DOE) Health (4 plan options), Dental, and Vision Insurance — benefits start after 30 days 401(k) program: 100% match up to 3%, 50% match on 4–5% Life insurance, disability coverage, and Flexible Spending options Paid vacation and holidays Company vehicle or vehicle allowance depending on position and territory Clear pathways into Senior Technician, BAS Programming, Commissioning, or Project Leadership roles Opportunities to support enterprise-level BAS projects for major clients Training programs and development aligned with long-term career advancement Client Sectors Commercial properties and Class A office buildings Schools, universities, and municipal facilities Healthcare, laboratory, and other mission-critical environments If you’re an experienced or up-and-coming BAS technician seeking a stable role with strong benefits,career mobility, and exposure to advanced building automation systems, this Fort Myers opportunitymay be the perfect fit. #J-18808-Ljbffr ControlsJobs
