Robotic Weld Technician

Robotic Weld TechnicianWe are looking for a skilled Robotic Weld Technician to join our team and help us push the limits of steel and aluminum fabrication using state-of-the-art robotic mig welding systems. Weld Technician will be working within and supporting a welding team production environment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide technical support in developing and improving welding processesSet up fixtures and jigs for aluminum/steel welding applicationsExperience with weld path programming and touch-up techniquesFamiliarity with weld inspection criteria (AWS D1.1, D1.2 is a plus)Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and use measuring toolsPrevious manual Mig welding experience is a plusTroubleshoot part fit-up problemsPerform quality inspections and troubleshoot weld defectsKnowledge of robot programming and general welding maintenance (Fanuc, Kuka)Controls knowledge (Allen-Bradley, Fanuc, SLC 500 and SLC 5000 family of controls and HMI)Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize weld parametersMaintain equipment and follow all safety standardsEmployees are expected to follow all standards listed below:Consistently exhibit reliable attendance habits, working the hours necessary to perform the job.Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work area.Provide necessary, accurate, and timely feedback of all pertinent information to co-workers and leaders.Effectively communicate with co-workers and management to enhance teamwork and communication initiatives.Consistently adhere to and support company policies and procedures, including ISO14001, IATF16949, and safety regulations.Accept instructions and perform job duties in a productive and team-oriented manner.Treat all co-workers with dignity and respect.Actively support the Globe Tech values.Work Environment:Fumes or airborne particlesExtreme heat (non-weather)Risk of electrical shockVibrationThe noise level in the working environment will generally be high.
