Investment Banking Vice President

Selby Jennings is partnering with a boutique investment bank specializing in the lower middle market M&A transactions for founder owned and operated businesses.

They are looking for a Vice President who will play a critical leadership role in executing M&A transactions, overseeing deal processes, managing Analysts/Associates, and maintaining direct client interaction. This individual will be a key contributor to the firm and should also possess a Generalist or Healthcare foundation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end sell-side M&A and capital markets transaction execution
• Manage client communications and internal deal teams.
• Manage due diligence processes, coordinate with legal, accounting, and other third-party advisors, and ensure deal timelines are met.
• Conduct and review financial modeling, valuation analyses (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable companies), and strategic alternatives assessments.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of investment banking experience, with a strong focus on M&A execution.
• Generalist training background preferred or strong experience in Healthcare.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; Open to MBA Associates.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort interacting directly with founders, CEOs, and private equity clients.
• Must be able to work on-site in Orange County four days per week.
