About The Company A mission-driven organization in Washington, DC is looking for an enthusiastic and capable Event Assistant to join their team on a contract basis. Job Description We are looking for an Event Assistant to help plan, manage, and execute a variety of events and meetings. This role involves everything from understanding event-specific needs and developing supporting materials to communicating with speakers and VIP attendees. The ideal candidate is proactive, well-organized, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts at once. Key Responsibilities Support the planning and execution of events and meetings in a way that reflects the organization's mission and goals Assess and implement the unique requirements of each event or meeting from start to finish Develop content for event materials and work closely with design teams to bring those materials to life Draft and send confirmation letters and other correspondence to speakers and VIP guests attending regional meetings Qualifications 2–4 years of experience in event coordination, administrative support, or project assistance Must be willing and able to lift boxes and event promotional materials Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities, a confident communication style, and a can-do attitude Bachelor's degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
