Registered Nurse (RN) - OR General Surgery

Role: Clinical Nurse Educator responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care through the nursing process. Key Duties Performing comprehensive assessments and developing individualized care plans. Collaborating with surgical teams to ensure safe, effective patient care. Administering medications safely, adhering to policies to reduce errors. Maintaining patient safety, accurate documentation, and effective communication. Demonstrating flexibility, critical thinking, and autonomous practice in stressful situations. Providing age-appropriate care, interpreting patient data, and ensuring safe transfer of care. Preparing operating rooms, maintaining aseptic technique, and managing specimen processing. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited nursing program and current RN license in Connecticut. CPR certification upon hire. Experience in surgical or labor/delivery settings, specifically assisting with C-sections. Skills & Competencies: Effective communication, basic computer skills, ability to work under stress, critical thinking, and knowledge of growth and development principles.
