Material Handler/Forklift Operator
A manufacturer in Richmond, IN is seeking a dedicated Material Handler/Forklift Operator for the night shift. The role involves handling and transporting materials to support efficient production and storage operations.
Responsibilities
- Transport master rolls, pallets, raw materials, and finished products to designated production and storage areas according to work orders.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and core cutters, while maintaining required certifications and completing daily equipment inspections.
- Follow production schedules, work orders, and procedures to support customer order fulfillment and maintain accurate documentation.
- Complete production-related paperwork, quality control forms, data entry, and product labeling as required.
- Monitor material handling equipment and promptly report operational issues or maintenance needs to minimize production downtime.
Essential Skills
- Experience operating sit down and stand up forklifts.
- Proficiency with a tape measure and basic math/measurement skills.
- Experience with material handling, including roll handling and pallet jack operations.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes and reach trucks.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and shipping & receiving processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Certification in forklift operation is highly desirable.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40560.00 - $40560.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
