We are hiring an Executive Director who is accountable for the diligent planning, organizing, and energizing of staff, services, and programs to foster a vibrant environment for residents. Ensures strict adherence to regulations concerning resident care, safety, and rights protection. Key responsibilities encompass personnel oversight, culture cultivation, effective communication strategies, financial stewardship, admissions processes, operational best practices, strategic planning, administration, and rigorous quality assurance measures. Will act as the licensed nursing home administrator or delegate under the Administrator's guidance.

What You Will Do:

• Works collaboratively with Sequoia Living Support Services (Home Office) and other CCRC/LifePlan locations to identify and implement best practices, unifying where able across all locations.
• Leads and cultivates a positive culture where staff and residents are encouraged to respectfully identify ways we can improve while exhibiting the values of accountability, caring, and teamwork.
• Establishes goals and objectives consistent with mission statements and corporate goals, objectives, and policies. Assures that plans and actions reflect board goals and objectives.
• Develops long term plans, including operation plans, capital plans, major projects, improvements, staffing needs, programs and services.
• Responsible for implementing appropriate corporate policy; makes recommendations for new policies and procedures with staff.
• Performs duties related to staffing including recruiting, screening, hiring, training, orientation, development, evaluation, and motivation of employees.
• Implements plans to achieve performance indicators and dashboard targets.
• Manages the financials including budget development and analysis, administration and forecasting.
• Collaborates with resident leadership and related committees to ensure smooth implementation of community goals and positive resident relations.
• Member of the senior management team. Participates at the corporate level in task forces and committees as required or assigned.
• Serves as Community Risk Manager, overseeing loss prevention and control activities for the entire community under the auspices of the Corporate Risk Management Program.
• Responsible for implementing Safety, Accident and Illness Prevention Program at site. Coordinates Safety Committee.
• Maintains liaison with government agencies, service agencies, neighborhood committees, volunteers, and other professional and supervisory staff.
• Participates in staff development for future continuity and succession planning.
• Performs other work as assigned.

Who You Are:

• Knowledge of Title 22, OBRA and policies and procedures related to the operation of skilled nursing home facilities, intermediate care facilities and residential facilities for the elderly. Management skills to select, train, motivate and develop staff. Skills to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships. Knowledge of the CCRC statutes. Sensitivity and understanding of the issues related to aging. Ability to make sound business decisions. Skill to synthesize a variety of information, consider alternatives and their consequences, formulate conclusions and recommend and implement actions. Sound budgeting development and implementation.
• Eight to ten years of major administrative experience and effective leadership of diverse team members. Previous experience in a similar senior living role. May be required to have or secure a license as a Nursing Home Administrator in California and a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly Certification.
• Full management responsibility for all staff (75 to 175) activities. Manages directly or through subordinate supervisors. Responsible for recruitment, selection, training, motivation, discipline, and performance appraisal.
