CMM Operator

Randstad is hiring a CMM Operator (Night Shift) for a premiere aerospace engineering firm in Bohemia, NY. This critical quality control position is responsible for executing high-precision dimensional inspections of aerospace components using advanced Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to maintain strict AS9100 traceability compliance.

salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Operate and calibrate CMM machinery to run metrology protocols on structural components and high-value turbine parts.

• Utilize software (such as PC-DMIS) to optimize, validate, and execute dimensional inspection programs.

• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and in-process validation according to AS9102 requirements.

• Interpret intricate aerospace engineering drawings, CAD models, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) metrics under ASME Y14.5 standards.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
