Vice President of Operations

SUMMARY

The Vice President of Operations provides strategic leadership and technical expertise to oversee operational performance across two facilities. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, achieving key business goals, improving productivity, and ensuring consistent direction across both organizations.

The VP will lead manufacturing, production planning, inventory control, material management, facility operations, and plant leadership teams while supporting long-term organizational effectiveness and growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with corporate goals, including annual business plans, budgets, and short-term execution plans.

• Oversee manufacturing operations, production planning, inventory control, material flow, facility maintenance, safety, security, emergency preparedness, and capital improvement planning.

• Drive lean manufacturing practices, continuous improvement initiatives, visual management systems, value stream mapping, and operational standardization across both sites.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, EPA, UL/CSA, and other applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

• Manage operational budgets, capital expenditures, plant performance metrics, cost optimization efforts, product margins, and corrective action plans.

• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing plant leadership team while managing staffing needs and supporting workforce flexibility.

• Foster cross-functional collaboration and lead change initiatives tied to new processes, systems, and technologies.

• Partner with internal leadership teams and external customers to ensure quality, timely delivery, customer satisfaction, and alignment with broader business strategy.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related technical field required.

• 10–15 years of operations experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership.

• Strong expertise in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, production planning, inventory management, quality systems, and material management.

• Proven ability to manage operational budgets, capital expenditures, performance metrics, product margins, and cost optimization initiatives.

• Experience leading plant leadership teams, developing talent, managing change, and driving accountability across multiple functions or facilities.

• Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements, including OSHA, ANSI, EPA, and UL/CSA standards.

• Strong communication, project management, financial acumen, and cross-functional leadership skills.

• Experience in industrial printing or a related manufacturing environment preferred.
