About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night and Day rotating shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty required. License: Must have a permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required. Must-Have: - 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience preferred. - Traveler must work at least every other holiday. - References required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty. Description: This position is for a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse. The role may include floating to other units based on patient care needs. Evenings are scheduled from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, and mornings are scheduled from 7 AM to 7:30 PM. Shifts may vary to meet operational needs. It is essential for applicants to have a total of 18 months of experience, which may be accumulated from various locations if necessary. Active and in-hand certifications are mandatory at the time of submission; pending certifications will not be accepted. A background check and drug screening are required. An ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation. An acceptable score on both assessments is necessary. No applicants with an open case history will be considered. Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements. All other travelers must be nicotine-free and will need a negative drug screen. Candidates who have previously worked in a permanent or per diem capacity cannot return for one year after their last assignment. Travelers may remain on assignment for up to 18 months, followed by a required break before returning. Modules are completed pre-start and annually, with additional time potentially needed for each specialty.
