Production Planner II

About the Role The Production Planner II is a mid‑level position responsible for creating and maintaining efficient production schedules, ensuring that materials, resources, and labor are aligned to meet production goals and deadlines. This role involves working closely with various departments to coordinate production activities and optimize the use of resources, supporting Lean Manufacturing practices, implementing demand scheduling tools, and utilizing advanced skills in ERP, MRP, MS Project, Excel, and SQL. Responsibilities Create and update production schedules, ensuring alignment of materials, resources, and labor with production goals. Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, engineering, and logistics to schedule production activities. Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and ERP systems to manage production schedules and inventory levels. Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement in scheduling and resource allocation. Assist in developing and implementing production planning policies and procedures. Provide support and troubleshooting for production‑related issues. Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays or issues. Perform data analysis and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience). Typically 2+ years of experience in production planning or related area. Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, purchasing best practices, and demand scheduling tools. Skilled user of ERP, MRP, and Excel. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to support decision‑making. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Experience in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization. Familiarity with quality management systems and standards, such as ISO 9001. Understanding of capacity planning and resource allocation to optimize production efficiency. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field. APICS certification. Experience using SQL, Python, R, MS Project, PowerBI, and Tableau. Compensation Pay Range: $73,457.00 – $101,024.00 (base compensation determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, education, experience, internal equity, and market competitiveness).
