Essential Functions Trailer Mechanic/Technician: You will maintain proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all assigned equipment. Determine trailer condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests. Perform system repairs to include 2 years of air brakes and FHWA inspections, technical training, tractor helper or Reefer experience a Plus. Perform all preventive maintenance inspections, state and federal mandated safety inspections and complete repairs in accordance with DOT requirements. Perform routine maintenance on trailers, refrigeration system. Union Shop Shift – 2nd shift Sunday thru Thursday, 2 PM Start Friday and Saturday OFF!! Start Pay $30.75/hr!! TMT software experience Preferred Must have 2 years experience required for air brakes and FHWA inspections. Ability to read, write and speak English. Basic math skills. Must have strong diagnostic skills. Knowledge of hydraulics. Own set of tools. The ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be computer proficient with MS Office and TMT. Able to pass pre‑employment drug screen.
