As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Threat Assessment in Washington, DC , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $35.62 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain awareness of activity within and around the facility to help deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the business, lobby areas, parking areas, and perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or security-related concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as required.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
