Family Behavioral Guidance Services is seeking a dedicated and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team on a full-time basis. This position is primarily remote, offering the flexibility to provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families from the comfort of your home or through in-person sessions from our community health clinic located in Bayonne, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide ongoing therapeutic support for individuals, couples, and families.

• Utilize evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to address client needs.

• Maintain detailed client records and ensure accurate documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) software while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
\n
• Participate in collaborative treatment discussions and case management meetings to optimize client outcomes.
\n
• Provide bilingual (Spanish and English) psychotherapy services, ensuring comprehension and connection with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance short-term individual and group therapy skills.
\n
• Attend regular team meetings, training sessions, and participate in peer supervision to support professional growth within the organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families. We serve individuals facing various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship issues. Understanding the cultural sensitivities and unique circumstances of each client is essential, as we aim to foster a trustful and supportive therapeutic relationship that promotes healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree from an accredited program in Counseling, Marriage, and Family Therapy or a related field.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• Proficient bilingual communication skills in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.

• A minimum of two years of experience working within a mental health setting, particularly in behavioral health.

• Cultural competence and sensitivity to the unique needs of diverse families.
\n
• Eligibility and willingness to provide services as an in-network provider for insurance panels.
\n
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple caseloads effectively.
\n
• A valid Driver's License and car insurance for potential in-person appointments.
\n
• Availability to work at least two evenings per week and one weekend day.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Advanced training or specialization in areas such as trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, grief and loss, or perinatal mental health.

• Experience working with various client types and presenting issues in a collaborative therapeutic setting.

• Familiarity with EHR software and telehealth platforms for conducting therapy sessions in a HIPAA-compliant environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications, in addition to bonuses. Our benefits package includes healthcare coverage, counseling services for employees, and opportunities for ongoing training and professional development.
