Production Assembler

Production AssemblerNesco Resource is seeking Production Assemblers to support HVAC equipment manufacturing in Rochester, NY. This hands-on position is responsible for assembling HVAC units and components using hand and power tools while following drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, is comfortable working with tools, and is looking for an opportunity to grow into a permanent manufacturing position.Pay Rate: Starting at $20.00/hour Candidates with specific relevant experience may qualify for higher payShift: Monday – Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Friday | 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM Currently running some overtime Optional Saturday overtime may be availableKey Responsibilities:Assemble HVAC units, subassemblies, and components using hand and power toolsRead and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, blueprints, and specificationsInstall mechanical and electrical components including wiring, motors, fans, coils, compressors, and controlsInspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are metPerform functional testing and basic troubleshooting as requiredIdentify and report defective materials, equipment issues, or production concernsAccurately complete production and quality documentationMeet daily production goals while maintaining quality and efficiencyMaintain a clean and organized work area following 5S practicesCross-train at multiple assembly stations as neededParticipate in continuous improvement efforts to increase productivity and reduce wasteFollow all safety procedures and wear required PPEQualifications:High School Diploma or GED preferredPrevious manufacturing or assembly experience preferredHVAC manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication experience is a plusStrong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power toolsAbility to read assembly instructions, basic blueprints, and measuring devicesBasic math and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience with pneumatic tools, torque tools, or measuring instruments is a plusForklift experience or certification is a plus but not requiredWork Environment & Physical Requirements:Fast-paced manufacturing and assembly environmentAbility to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periodsAbility to frequently lift and carry up to 50 poundsFrequent repetitive use of hands and armsExposure to manufacturing noise, dust, and varying temperaturesRequired use of appropriate PPE and adherence to all safety proceduresNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
