Print Production Specialist

We're hiring an experienced Print Production Specialist to join our team at Copy Doctor. This role combines hands-on print production with customer service — you'll be working with printers, paper, measurements, and customers throughout the day.

This is not a desk-only job, and it's not an entry-level role . We need someone who already knows their way around a commercial print shop and can hit the ground running.

What You'll Do

• Help customers in person and respond to incoming email requests
• Prepare and process print jobs from start to finish
• Use computer systems to enter jobs and keep them organized
• Handle printed materials carefully and accurately
• Keep multiple jobs moving so everything gets done on time
• Make sound quoting and production decisions, including when a job should be produced in-house vs. sent to an outside vendor

Required Experience

Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience at a commercial print shop — this is a must, not a preference

• Comfortable with common print production equipment and workflows
• Experience reading and following job specs, including paper stock, sizing, and finishing requirements
• Some quoting or estimating experience is a strong plus

• Good with computers — comfortable using a keyboard, learning new software, and clicking through new screens without frustration
• Learns quickly — picks things up fast, doesn't need to be shown the same thing repeatedly
• Friendly and professional — comfortable talking to customers, approachable, brings a good attitude to work
• Organized and focused — can track several jobs at once, knows what to prioritize, doesn't lose paperwork or details
• Comfortable with measurements and paper — can read a ruler, understands fractions of an inch, pays close attention to size and detail
• Reliable team player — shows up, helps where needed, takes ownership of getting the day's work done

What This Job Is — and Is Not

This job IS:

• Printing and customer service, done by someone who already knows the trade
• Hands-on and active
• Computer-based, with modern equipment and systems

This job is NOT:

• A desk-only or office-only role
• An entry-level or trainee position
• A place to do things "the old way" and avoid learning new systems

If you don't have commercial print production experience, or you don't enjoy working with both people and production, this role won't be a good fit.

• Someone who can work independently and make smart, cost-conscious production decisions
• Comfortable with physical tasks and lifting up to 30 pounds
