The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full‑time Location: In‑person, Hamilton, NJ; Seattle, WA; Sandy, UT Pay: $61,040–$90,640 yearly Team: North America Contracts team (US and Canada) within Carta Law. Mission: Support legal work for private capital, contributing to high‑quality client delivery in fast‑moving, high‑volume contract matters. What You’ll Actually Do Support: Assist lawyers with first‑round markups of investment‑related NDAs and commercial contracts. Manage: Oversee document lifecycles, track deadlines, communicate with counterparties, and aid in execution. Collaborate: Work closely with lawyers and senior paralegals to deliver high‑quality client service across fast‑moving, high‑volume matters. Develop: Build commercial and legal expertise over time, with opportunities for client account ownership and progression towards qualification via the SQE route. The Must‑Haves Background: Entry‑Level. Bachelor’s degree in law or equivalent is preferred. Experience: Eagerness to learn and grow, motivated and curious to develop expertise in legal practice, whether in compliance, contracts, or funds. Skills: Organized and efficient, prioritizing well and managing competing deadlines with attention to detail. A strong communicator, able to write and speak clearly and professionally, delivering crisp, concise advice. A self‑starter who takes initiative, works independently when needed, and proactively flags issues.
