Outpatient Clinic Infusion

Registered Nurse Clinician

The purpose of the Registered Nurse Clinician is to provide medically prescribed infusion therapy to patients with acute and chronic conditions.

Schedule: PRN Monday-Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM Saturdays as needed. Service Areas: Gastonia NC and may float to other clinics as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience/Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state(s) of practice.
• 1 year of nursing experience in a clinical specialty involving infusion therapy.
• BLS or obtain upon hire.
• Proficient at partner programs (i.e.: MS Outlook Word Excel).
• Ability to cope with ambiguous changing environment while under pressure in a calm manner.
• Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with all members of the Palmetto Infusion team.

Essential Functions:

• Work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team in an ambulatory infusion clinic setting.
• Effectively utilize the nursing process to assess and care for patients.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a professional ethical knowledgeable and compassionate manner.
• Provide disease and drug-specific education to patients and caregivers.
• Comply with HIPAA and ACHC regulations.
• Participates in on-call rotation as assigned for AIC nurses.
• Travel to outlying clinics as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of medical/nursing practices by participating in educational in-services.
• Accurately perform all nursing duties according to the state nurse practice act while adhering to company policies and procedures including but not limited to: accessing and maintaining central lines and PIVS obtaining lab specimens collecting vital signs safely administering intravenous and injectable medications as ordered by prescribing physicians documenting patient care responding to and accurately reporting adverse drug reactions assisting with administrative duties as needed

About the Benefits:

The anticipated pay for this position is 40/hour. Final compensation is based on factors including experience qualifications and geographic location. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to frequently stand walk sit bend twist talk and hear. There may be prolonged periods of sitting keyboarding reading as well as driving or riding in transport vehicles. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading distance computer and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients vendors and staff.
