Our client, a nationally recognized Am Law 100 law firm , is seeking an Insurance Coverage & Extra-Contractual Litigation Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join its Denver practice. This position is suited for an attorney with experience handling sophisticated coverage disputes, bad-faith claims, and related insurance litigation.\n

About The Role

The attorney will advise and represent insurers in complex coverage and extra-contractual disputes, with responsibility for coverage analysis, litigation strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and client counseling.\n
\n
Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Handle insurance coverage and extra-contractual litigation matters
\n
• Analyze policy language, coverage issues, and potential exposure
\n
• Manage first-party and third-party coverage disputes
\n
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, coverage analyses, and other substantive documents
\n
• Develop and manage discovery strategy
\n
• Take and defend depositions
\n
• Evaluate liability, damages, and litigation risk
\n
• Handle matters in state and federal court
\n
• Communicate directly with clients regarding coverage positions, strategy, and case developments
\n
• Independently manage multiple matters while collaborating with partners and other attorneys

\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• 3+ years of insurance coverage, bad-faith, or related litigation experience
\n
• Active Colorado Bar admission required
\n
• Experience analyzing complex insurance policies and coverage issues
\n
• Experience with discovery, depositions, and substantive motion practice
\n
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
\n
• Excellent communication and advocacy abilities
\n
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines independently
\n
• Experience in state and federal court is strongly preferred
\n
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative
