Insurance Coverage Attorney

Directors and Officers | Professional Liability | First-Party Property | Coverage Litigation | Cyber

A national litigation firm with a growing Chicago coverage group has multiple openings for insurance coverage attorneys. The work is insurer-side across specialty and commercial lines, from coverage analysis through litigation. Illinois-licensed attorneys can work hybrid or onsite.

What You Will Do

\n
• Analyze coverage and draft coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters and declination letters
\n
• Handle coverage across cyber, directors and officers, professional liability and errors and omissions, and first-party property policies
\n
• Litigate declaratory judgment actions and defend bad faith and extra-contractual claims
\n
• Manage motion practice, discovery and appeals in state and federal court
\n
• Advise carrier clients on claims strategy and exposure
\n

What We Are Looking For

\n
• 3+ years of insurance coverage experience, ideally representing insurers
\n
• Experience in one or more of: cyber, D&O, professional liability, first-party property, declaratory judgment or bad faith litigation
\n
• Active Illinois bar license in good standing
\n
• Indiana licensure a plus
\n
• Strong writing and analytical skills
\n
