Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cath Lab position requiring at least 1 year of experience, with skills in circulating procedures and dysrhythmia management, working 4x10-hour day shifts.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting serving an adult to geriatric patient population
• Performs work across diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings, including diagnostic, left heart, and right heart catheterizations
• Typical daily census of 8–10 patients across 3 rooms with 5 beds
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Every third weekend required
• Floating required within the facility and scope of practice, with potential to float to a sister campus
• 10 call days per month required
• EMR system: Epic; also uses Pyxis and SBAR communication framework

Requirements

• Active RN license — GA or Compact license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required
• Proficiency in circulating procedures required
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring required
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) highly preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• RTO must be finalized prior to offer; no schedule requests will be accepted after offer or once onsite
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• If 1 or 2 major holidays fall during the assignment period, travelers are expected to work those holidays and no holiday RTO can be requested
• If 3 major holidays fall during the assignment period, travelers are expected to work 2 of them and may request 1 holiday RTO for consideration
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Candidates who have worked permanently or per diem at this health system must have been separated from all system facilities for at least 1 full year before being eligible to apply as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• No alternate shifts or special scheduling requests are permitted — the listed shift is firm
