Finance Analyst

About the Role:
This role is responsible for providing comprehensive financial analysis, reporting, and support, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and accounting functions. Financial Analyst requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial modeling, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to ensure accurate financial reporting and insightful business analysis.
What You'll Do:
Accounting & Month-End Close:
Journal Entries & Adjustments: Prepare and post monthly journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting standards. Perform adjusting and correcting entries as needed, based on financial reviews and analysis.
Month-End Close Support: Assist with month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Invoice & Expense Management: Provide guidance to the Accounts Payable team on invoice coding and ensure adherence to company policy and budget. Approve invoices and expenses for designated clients or business units.
Invoicing & Client Communication: Prepare and send accurate and timely invoices to clients. Proactively follow up on outstanding accounts receivables, resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely payment.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Collect, audit, and analyze revenue data, including transaction pipelines. Collaborate with business leaders to refine revenue projections and input data into the budgeting system.
Analyze and budget for various expense categories (staff costs, travel & entertainment, consulting fees, etc.), incorporating data from multiple sources. Calculate and budget for incentive compensation.
Review and confirm key financial metrics, such as EBITDA growth rates.
Generate and collect revenue pipelines from various sources and input into forecasting system. Compare, reconcile, and validate pipeline reports with actual performance data.
Manage expense forecasting, including entering expense changes and calculating/forecasting incentive compensation based on current projections.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports to leadership, including detailed financial performance insights. Generate and distribute variance reports (Actual vs. Budget, Forecast vs. Budget) with comprehensive expense analysis and variance explanations.
Variance Analysis: Perform variance analysis for assigned accounts or business units, comparing actual results to budget and forecast. Provide clear and concise written explanations for significant variances, identifying key drivers and potential corrective actions. Prepare bonus expense explanations as needed.
Annual True-Up: Reconcile revenue data to financial statements annually. Review revenue and make necessary adjustments for prior-year write-offs. Collaborate with relevant teams to review and analyze expenses.

Bachelor's Degree preferred with up to 3 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Finance Analyst position is $65,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Finance Analyst position is $85,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
