Job Summary

Oversees all accounting, reporting, and analytical activities for the Sales & Marketing functional team. Ensures accurate and timely preparation of journal entries, financial reporting, and operational analysis in accordance with corporate policies and GAAP. Provides leadership to the Sales & Marketing department accounting team and collaborates with cross functional partners to support business operations and strategic initiatives.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage an accounting team responsible for Sales & Marketing department financial reporting.
• Serve as a liaison with the Field/HQ business partners to provide guidance on accounting entries and reporting.
• Oversee preparation and review of financial statement analysis supporting of balance-sheet accruals and operating cash flow activity. Ensure evidence of review standards and deadlines are met.
• Review of monthly Sales & Marketing department financial results prepared by other team members.
• Prepare ad-hoc reporting and analysis for senior leadership.
• Manage day-to-day activities, set goals and provide performance expectations for the GAO accounting team.
• Identify, develop, and implement process improvements—including centralization and automation opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policies.
• Oversee internal and external audit processes for assigned areas.
• Maintain and update procedures in response to operational or policy changes.
• Review monthly balance-sheet reconciliations and direct necessary adjustments.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
