Project Engineer

Insight Global is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join a leading Energy company located in Houston, TX. The person in this role will act as Technical Engineering Lead on complex/critical hyperscale Data Center Facility components taking full ownership of all engineering activities undertaken by product and discipline engineers. They will be responsible for the mechanical scope and systems across the design, construction, assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning phases. They will check and approve drawings/designs, review vendor quotations and provide feedback to the procurement team, prepare and complete various mechanical engineering deliverable drawings, documents, and calculations such as valve list, equipment lists, piping line list, piping stress / flexibility

study, line sizing of pipe, mechanical equipment data sheets, etc. They will be Selecting / Specifying proper painting and coating systems for various items within data Centers. Determining brackets, fastening, bolting, and / or mounting of components and major equipment. They will be determining brackets, fastening, bolting, and / or mounting of components and major equipment. They will perform or check pipe stress analysis and provide pipe load information to structural engineers as needed.
