The primary role of the Safety Coordinator is to support site safety leadership and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory safety standards at the project or facility level. This position focuses on executing established safety programs, conducting field audits, tracking corrective actions, and assisting with training and documentation. The role requires a detail-oriented, methodical, and conscientious individual with a strong preference for quality, accuracy, and technical precision, leaving nothing to chance. Job tasks are often repetitive and require maintaining a steady, faster-than-average work pace. The Safety Coordinator plays a key role in identifying hazards, preventing incidents, supporting the overall safety program, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the company. B&D's success hinges on safety coordinators who can make a real impact.

Responsibilities include supporting and delivering training based on analysis of employees' needs, supporting and working with the site Safety Professional and other relevant personnel, safety management of people, supplies, equipment, and B&D's Behavior-Based Safety Program (BBS), reviewing, tracking, and communicating monthly BBS for company reporting, coaching and counseling employees on safe work practices, job planning, and hazard prevention, ensuring all employees have and maintain current OSHA training, leading toolbox talks for small to large employee groups, creating and reviewing safety plans, documenting work observations, analyzing safety data, inputting and tracking safety records accurately, managing and reporting incidents, maintaining company, government, and facility compliance, identifying and preventing potential workplace health and safety hazards, developing and applying frameworks for risk management, supporting organization change related to safety programs and initiatives, researching and strategizing on emerging and complex risks, collaborating across the business on varying enterprises, and physical demands including long hours of sitting, using a computer, standing, pulling/pushing, walking, lifting, and climbing. Job requires intermediate computer proficiency and advanced critical thinking skills. Other duties, activities, and responsibilities may vary and change as assigned.

Education and experience requirements include a high school degree or equivalent, certifications in safety-related field - OSHA 30 required, and a minimum of 2 years in a safety-related role preferred.
