CNC Machinist OpportunityPay: $14.00 - $22.00+ per hour, with higher pay possible based on experienceA manufacturing company in Chesapeake is seeking both experienced and entry-level CNC Machinists to join their team. The ideal candidate will set up, program, and operate CNC machines to produce precision components using CAD software. The position offers hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing equipment, a dynamic work environment, and opportunities for career growth within the company.Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to ensure accuracy.Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, CMM) to verify tolerances.Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine or tooling issues.Select and adjust tooling and fixtures for optimal machining performance.Conduct quality checks during production to meet specifications.Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve processes using lean principles.Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following all safety protocols.Assist with assembly or material handling tasks as needed.Requirements:Experience with CNC machining or manufacturing is a plus, but entry-level candidates are welcome.Familiarity with CAD software for part review and setup is a plus.Ability to read technical drawings and understand basic mechanical principles.Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools and measuring instruments.Basic math skills for dimensions and tolerances.Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or on a team.Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
