Obstetric Ultrasound Specialist

Perform detailed obstetrical ultrasound examinations, including arterial and venous Dopplers as well as cardiac function assessments. Provide ultrasound guidance for both in-office procedures and fetal surgery.

Key Accountabilities

• Performs detailed maternal fetal ultrasound assessment, including functional assessments
• Reviews and seeks clarification of patient clinical information prior to ultrasound examination
• Performs basic and detailed obstetrical ultrasound examinations in all three trimesters, including transvaginal and transabdominal scanning
• Able to acquire and manipulate 3 and 4 dimensional images
• Able to perform specialty ultrasound exams such as twin to twin transfusion evaluations and cardiac assessment
• Provides guidance for in and outpatient fetal procedures (such as shunt placement, IUT, fetal surgery)
• May provide portable examinations at bedside as requested by attending physician
• Maintains current best practices for diagnosis of fetal conditions under consideration for maternal fetal surgery

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent experience. Completion of and graduation from a formal AMA approved ultrasound technology program, or equivalent experience. Required Credentials American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) credentialed; or able to obtain within 12 months of employment. BLS for Healthcare Providers. Preferred Pediatric experience.

Compensation Range

$56.30 - $91.12 per hour

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

This compensation range is specific to Seattle, positions located outside of Seattle may be compensated differently depending on various factors.
