Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 36 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Duke Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - Duke Health.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Credentials: NIHSS or Stroke certification.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Cardiac cath. Cares for patients with MI, acute kidney injuries, renal failure, pneumonia, total joint, ortho, cellulitis, rule out chest pains, stress test, cath lab, and post-op bariatric cases.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No call.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 12 months

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) or the alternative certification SCRN

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
