Schedule: Per Diem (PRN). Job Summary Step into a vital role where your imaging skills make a life‑saving difference! Novant Health is seeking a Sonographer III to join our REMARKABLE acute care team. Responsibilities Perform advanced ultrasound procedures while maintaining exceptional imaging quality and accuracy. Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for sonography team members. Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, and care teams to deliver timely, accurate results. Provide compassionate, patient‑centered care that reflects Novant Health’s commitment to remarkable experiences. Qualifications Minimum 3 years experience in sonography. Certified and registered in three specialties by ARDMS. Required specialty: Vascular Technology. Additional certifications: Pediatric, Obstetrics & Gynecology, or Musculoskeletal Sonography. Prior acute care experience preferred. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. High School Diploma or GED required. ARDMS or ARRT registry registrants required; if not registered must be eligible and complete within 12 months. ARRT RT(S) or ARDMS certified or board eligible required. ARDMS certification within first year of employment required. Ability to successfully complete generic and department‑specific skills validation and competency testing. Good communication skills; capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms. Working knowledge of various ultrasound equipment; adapt to new situations and procedures according to patient age.
