Lead the team behind an unforgettable dining experience!

As a Lead Cook , you will play a key leadership role in supporting daily kitchen operations while working alongside the Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, and culinary team. Whether on the hot line or cold prep line, you'll help prepare high-quality food, guide production, maintain food safety standards, and ensure every dish meets Levy's commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Model and promote Levy's Family Values: Nice, Innovative, Passionate, and Inclusive.
• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, production guides, and Levy quality standards.
• Support daily kitchen operations on both the hot line and cold prep line.
• Delegate tasks and monitor daily production to ensure timely and efficient service.
• Partner with the Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, and fellow Lead Cooks to execute event menus successfully.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, presentation, and consistency throughout each event.
• Ensure all food is prepared, held, and served following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen, including equipment and workstations.
• Assist with product rotation, labeling, storage, inventory, and waste reduction.
• Communicate effectively with culinary team members, managers, warehouse staff, and Front of House teams.
• Help train, coach, and support new culinary team members while fostering a positive team environment.
• Respond quickly to changing event needs while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Follow all Levy, Delta Center, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Complete additional duties as assigned to support successful event execution.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous culinary or commercial kitchen experience is required.
• Previous leadership, trainer, or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, HACCP principles, and safe food-handling practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate others in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Comfortable working on both hot and cold production lines.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
• Dependable, punctual, professional, and willing to learn.
• Spanish and English communication skills are a plus.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, Utah Jazz games, Utah Mammoth games, concerts, and other Delta Center events.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Utah Food Handler Permit.
