Quality Inspector

We operate in more than 50 countries and aim to keep infrastructure safe and secure every day. Responsibilities Execute incoming and final inspections. Log inspection results in the system. Review mill certifications for product conformance to specifications. Scan and maintain mill certs. Complete a Material Return Notice (MRN) when a product is returned from job sites. Establish product identity during inventory and when products are returned. Perform Pre-Production Approval (PPAP) inspections for new suppliers. Generate Corrective Action Reports (CAR) for non-conformances. Notify buyers, project coordinators, and/or designers when parts are non-conforming. Sort for critical deviations when there isn’t time to return a discrepant shipment. Attend material review and board meetings. Perform product testing. Other duties as assigned. Required Education and Experience Associates degree from a two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training. Competencies Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, material certificates, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Strong communication skills. Effective public speaking before a group of employees. Knowledge to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardization exists. Interpretation of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form. Proper use and knowledge of calipers, height gauges, depth gauges, and basic inspection instruments. Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Physical Demands Ability to lift or move up to 70 pounds at a time. Work in a warehouse setting with moderate noise levels. Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated. Deal with others in a straightforward and honest manner; be accountable for actions, maintain confidentiality, and support company goals and values.
