Pricing Coordinator Retail Operations — Food Lion, Charlotte, NC. Store Code 01262. The position supports quality customer service and correct product pricing within the store, ensuring accurate signage and compliance with company standards. Primary Purpose Provide quality customer service within the store. Responsible for maintaining standards in accordance with the standard practice manual, maximizing sales through excellent customer service and minimizing shrink through proper utilization of standard practice. Duties and Responsibilities Maintain an enthusiastic customer awareness atmosphere with fast, friendly, and accurate service. Assist other associates courteously and helpfully. Utilize advertising and sales promotion materials properly. Replace tags for each item that changes price in all departments. Scan products or tags for each price change to ensure accuracy. Maintain signage for displays during the price‑change process. Make tag corrections on items not transmitted according to price changes. Pull tags and hang closeouts for items deleted. Verify prices and tags for 1,000 items in the store each week using the wireless handheld unit. Order and maintain all warehouse and DSD replacement shelf tags. Maintain tags for new items and ensure correct scanning. Communicate undistributed prices or "not on files" via Voice of Retail to the Customer Support Center. Adhere to company guidelines, policies, and standard practice. Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures. Observe and correct unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents. Report all associate and customer accidents per Food Lion procedures to the manager on duty. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Wear the Food Lion uniform with a name badge, keeping a neat appearance per dress code. Complete Computer-Based Training (CBT), Training Packet, and Training Aid courses. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job. Ability to use technical information to solve problems. Meet minimum age requirements for specific responsibilities. Meet the physical requirements of the position with reasonable accommodations where applicable. Physical Requirements Use computers and communication systems as needed. Perform repetitive hand and arm motions. Bend and lift items weighing up to 15 lbs. continuously, 25 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. on occasion. Pull or push up to 75 lbs. on occasion. Stand 100% of the time, frequently walking short distances. Handle various substances associated with cleaning and packaging materials. Use hands to handle currency and operate cash register, lottery machine, scanner, computer, and calculator. Frequent reaching and grasping at waist level (occasionally above shoulder or below waist). Meet established volume activity standards. Work in extreme hot/cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes at a time. Have sufficient visual ability to check ID cards, checks, invoices, and other written documents.
