About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour; Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience License: State RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Description: Provide competent and compassionate patient care in accordance with unit, department, hospital policies, and nursing standards. Administer emergency nursing services in a fast-paced environment. Possess skills in management of acute conditions such as chest pain, respiratory distress, and trauma. Utilize critical thinking and effective communication to assess and address patient needs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans. Manage IV therapies, medication administration, and emergency interventions as necessary. Participate in continuing education and stay up-to-date with evidence-based practices. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain ongoing assessment of patient status. Care for patients across various age groups including neonates, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Provide support in handling mental and behavioral health conditions. Engage actively in the triage process and prioritize patient care based on urgent needs. Facilitate patient education and provide resource information to patients and families. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.
