You will be working with the most advanced tools, processes and talented people in the industry to make the Cloud a reality.Key job responsibilitiesA Network Development Engineer is responsible for engineering, implementation, scalability, operations, reliability, and sustainability of our next-generation networks. An NDE will utilise their networking skills along with our advanced tools and systems to invent, refine and develop automation and mechanisms to reduce manual operations. Our Engineers think at “Amazon scale” to solve problems in permanent, sustainable, and scalable ways, with an eye towards utilising the best solution over the quickest solution. Basic qualifications- Master's degree, or a Bachelor's degree and experience working in a large-scale networking environment- Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl)- Knowledge of IP networking fundamentals such as BGP, OSPF and other R&S technologies- Experience developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms to support IP networking systems.- This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state.Preferred qualification - Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems- Knowledge of network design, protocols and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting- Experience troubleshooting issues and root cause analysisAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
