BTS provides clinical services, court related services, and specialized programs for adults involved in the criminal justice system.  BTS  provides services at community corrections sites (including residential treatment programs), outpatient , jail based, and court liaison programs in 9 counties across Colorado.

Salary Range : $57,845/yr - $67,000/yr (based on licensure)

Summary:

The Clinical Therapist will provide substance abuse treatment on a residential and outpatient basis for clients involved with the STIRT program, a 3 week program of intensive residential treatment within a community corrections facility with transition to outpatient services. Clinicians will be responsible for individual and group counseling sessions for clients in a community corrections facility located in  Jefferson County . The therapist will collaborate with client to develop, implement, and revise individualized service plan, maintain required documentation, and collaborate with treatment team to provide trauma-informed clinical care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interview clients for admission; assess the need for on-going treatment or referral to other agencies;
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling as assigned and needed;
• Provide crisis intervention as needed;
• Collaborate with Client to develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment/service plans to support successful completion of goals;
• Provide psycho-education classes and other educational presentations on substance abuse;
• Provide case management services as needed;
• Communicate with families, probation/parole officers, and community agencies regarding treatment, discharge and aftercare plans;
• Maintain all required clinical documentation, ensuring client confidentiality, in accordance with agency standards;
• Attend treatment team meetings, community correctional program staff meetings, and clinical staff meetings;
• Attend training sessions for the purpose of upgrading skills and obtaining or maintaining clinician/counselor certification and licensure;
• Work on holidays and weekends, as determined by Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Manager
• Perform any other duties deemed necessary by the Treatment Team, Clinical Manager, or Clinical Director.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, counseling psychology, or a related human services field;
• Certified Addictions Counselor II (CAC II),  CAC III preferred
• Active registration in DORA
• Two years direct clinical experience, to include working with clients involved in the criminal justice system;
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and ability to utilize effective interventions for those with mental illness and substance use disorders;
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work holidays and weekends as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Licensed clinician in respective discipline: LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, Psychologist;
• Experience providing substance abuse treatment and understanding of addiction and the recovery process;
