What You'll Do

• Provide specialized neonatal care in a NICU and Newborn Nursery setting
• Attend and assist with high-risk deliveries and newborn diagnoses
• Conduct car seat testing and manage NICU patient care
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for newborns
• Support families through education and discharge planning
• Handle patient assessments, medication administration, and monitoring
• Comply with hospital protocols and safety standards

What You Need
Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• BLS, NRP, and CPI certifications
• Minimum of 2 years neonatal or pediatric nursing experience
• Proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Records
• Willingness to work holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), with some units requiring coverage for Halloween

Preferred:

• Experience in high-risk delivery environments
• Flexibility to float to postpartum/pediatrics if needed

About the Assignment
This neonatal intensive care unit cares for both NICU and Wellbaby patients. The team handles high-risk deliveries, diagnoses, and car seat testing, providing critical neonatal care. The unit operates around the clock, and staff may be asked to join emergency or relief teams as needed.
