Location: Charlottesville, Virginia

Start Date: 08-05-2026

End Date: 11-04-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy interventions following each patient's individualized plan of care
• Document patient progress, response to treatment, and any changes in condition
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and mobility techniques
• Communicate patient status and progress clearly to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety, infection control, and compliance standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Active state PTA license or ability to obtain before start
• Strong ability to follow treatment plans while working independently and within a team
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Physical therapy interventions and treatment modalities
• Patient care and mobility assistance
• Clinical documentation and progress notes
• Treatment plan implementation and goal tracking
• Collaboration with PTs, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
• Patient education and home exercise instruction
• Knowledge of safety, infection control, and compliance regulations
