Associate AttorneyA growing litigation firm in Rancho Cucamonga, California is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its civil litigation and insurance defense practice. Attorneys of varying experience levels will be considered, including candidates who require additional training and supervision.The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling cases independently or be capable of developing toward independent case management.ResponsibilitiesHandle a caseload involving civil litigation and insurance defense mattersManage cases from initial assignment through resolutionConduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documentsParticipate in discovery, depositions, hearings, and court proceedingsCommunicate with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, and other partiesDevelop case strategy and work toward favorable resolutionsHandle assigned matters independently when appropriate, with training and supervision available as neededMaintain accurate case files and meet applicable deadlines and billing requirementsQualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law schoolActive California Bar licenseCivil litigation experience preferred, but attorneys at various experience levels will be consideredInsurance defense experience is a plus but not requiredStrong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple matters and prioritize deadlinesAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively with attorneys and staffWillingness to learn and develop within the firm's practiceCompensation & BenefitsSalary depending on experience and capabilitiesCompensation may increase based on experience, ability to independently handle cases, and billable performance401(k) and standard employee benefitsFlexible in-person, hybrid, or remote work arrangementsBillable-hour expectations are approximately 1,920 annually, with flexibility based on the individual attorneyLocationThe firm is located in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
