Be a part of the Insight Chicago team that provides patient care second to none!/ph3Accounts Payable Specialist/h3pUnder the supervision of the Accounts Payable/Payroll Manager, the Accounts Payable Specialist will process vendor invoices/purchase orders via Multiview Accounts Payable system to ensure correct and timely payment to vendors. Answer employee and vendor questions regarding payment terms and policies. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and guests./ppEssential Duties and Responsibilities (Precise statements, listed in order of importance, of the major functions, tasks, duties and responsibilities performed.)/pulliProcess invoices for payment via Multiview Accounts Payable system and processing Purchase Orders via Purchasing system which includes 3-way matching from various vendors./liliInteract/Follow up with purchasing and other departments regarding purchase order/invoice discrepancies such as price and/or quantity issues./liliReview invoices / check requests for mathematical accuracy, proper authorization approval, sufficient documentation, and reasonableness of general ledger account distribution./liliProcess Accounts Payable weekly check run (Manual checks and EFT), attach appropriate documents to the check copies and reconcile to the check register./liliRespond promptly to internal and external vendor inquiries (email, phone, or in-person)./liliMaintains Accounts Payable system and related files and records./liliMaintain vendor data/records for accuracy and completeness in Lawson Accounts/Multi View Payable system./liliReview and/or update vendor 1099 coding classification in Multiview Accounts Payable system./li/ulpAdditional Duties and Responsibilities (Statements of additional functions, tasks, duties and responsibilities performed.)/pulliPerforms other related duties as assigned and/or requested./li/ulpFTE: 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m./ppJOB SPECIFICATIONS: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES/pulliDetailed oriented./liliAnalytical ability to resolve vendor payment problems by reviewing records and reports, by identifying errors, and by correcting errors./liliAbility to effectively use computers and working knowledge of spreadsheet applications to perform data entry and analysis./liliBe flexible with working long hours and on other projects when needed./liliInterpersonal skills sufficient to handle employee and vendor complaints and to explain account payable policies and procedures to all levels of hospital personnel which includes confidential information./li/ulpEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:/pulliAssociates degree (AA) or equivalent (Preferred)/liliHigh school graduate or equivalent.(Required)/lili2 years of related experience (Minimum)./lili3-5 years of related experience (Preferred)./liliExperience with electronic Accounts Payable systems (Required)./liliExperience with Microsoft Office software (Preferred)./li/ulpBenefits: Paid Sick Time - effective 90 days after employment Paid Vacation Time - effective 90 days after employment Health, vision dental benefits - eligible at 30 days, following the 1st of the following month Short and long-term disability and basic life insurance - after 30 days of employment Insight Employees are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 as a condition of employment, subject to accommodation for medical or sincerely held religious beliefs.
