Job Title: Membership & Operations Associate Location: Chicago, IL Employment Type: Contract, Part-Time (10 hours/week) Work Arrangement: Hybrid Compensation: $23–$25/hr Position Overview Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Membership & Operations Associate for an exciting opportunity in Chicago, IL. The role supports membership services, nonprofit volunteers, and day‑to‑day operational activities. It provides administrative, project, and operational support to maintain strong member relationships and ensure successful execution of association initiatives. The associate supports membership operations, financial administration, event coordination, and client service through collaboration with internal teams. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with members by responding to inquiries and supporting volunteer engagement. Provide administrative and project support, including database maintenance and reporting. Coordinate membership dues, registrations, accounts payable/accounts receivable (AP/AR), and other financial projects. Assist with reviewing marketing materials and communications. Support the planning and coordination of conferences, meetings, and other events. Maintain accurate membership and operational records. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional client service. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 0–1 year of professional experience in customer service, administrative support, or a related field. Experience working with nonprofit organizations or associations. Experience maintaining records in a membership database or CRM. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
