The Senior SEO Specialist is responsible for executing the day-to-day functions that support the digital marketing programs of large nationwide groups of automobile dealers and a myriad of non‑automotive clients. You have an exacting eye for detail and a preference for small companies where hard work is rewarded and the opportunity for growth is high. You will help lead SEO strategy execution, content optimization, and organic traffic generation, leveraging a deep understanding of SEO principles and practices. Strong analytical skills and expertise in keyword research, content optimization, technical SEO, and link building are essential. To support departmental, company, and client goals, effective communication and collaboration skills are critical to this role. Responsibilities Develop and maintain cutting‑edge SEO strategies across all verticals, identifying growth opportunities in new industries. Conduct comprehensive keyword analysis and competitive research to identify ranking opportunities. Collaborate with the content team to develop SEO‑driven content strategies. Generate A/B testing ideas to enhance on‑page engagement and conversions. Review and optimize meta‑data policies for relevant properties. Lead audits, KPI reports, and presentations for clients. Support cross‑departmental efforts to drive SEO strategy aligned with client and company goals. Utilize technical SEO, link building, and other SEO strategies. Optimize website content and digital assets. Stay updated on SEO trends and industry best practices. Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing SEO recommendations and action items. Lead off‑page campaign creation and execution. Perform detailed website analysis to measure SEO success and make data‑driven decisions. Required Skills and Experience 5+ years of hands‑on SEO experience 5+ years experience executing hands‑on SEO work for high‑complexity clients 1+ years experience leading an SEO team Excellent written, oral communication skills and time management Knowledge and focus on marketing analytics and ROI Highly knowledgeable in GA4 and relating metrics to paid and organic traffic Proven experience successfully executing all aspects of SEO projects and the development life‑cycle Highly collaborative, willing to listen and dive deep, be data‑driven, and motivated to drive continuous optimization Knowledge of web design principles and technologies, and their SEO implications, including a basic understanding of HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, DNS, robots, etc. Have an overall passion for the SEO field and overall internet marketing realm Proficient in quantitative analysis and Excel/Google Sheets Experience working with a CMS and building/administering content Experience working with popular keyword ranking & page speed tools such as SEMrush Experience in project management and use of related tools and software Strong background in web analytics, including expertise in Webmaster Tools Seasoned creative thinker, strategic player, and able to identify and resolve issues Self‑motivated with an ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment Deep understanding and working experience of technical SEO, on‑page SEO, off‑page SEO, local SEO, content development, conversion rate optimization, and analytics Understanding of various digital marketing channels, for example, paid search, digital PR, web development, and social media, among others Advanced analytical skills; capable of drawing insights from raw information and data acquired through field research Thorough knowledge of the latest market trends and shifts, as well as projections for the future Automotive industry experience is a plus Strong understanding of SEO best practices such as SEO‑friendly site architecture, meta tags, robots.txt, and redirection, with demonstrated knowledge through definition and application Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work well independently and within a team environment Advanced skills with Google Workspace Advanced skills with Google Search Console Benefits Competitive compensation
