Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badging Clerk in Bronx, NY is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it suits you. Pay Rate: $18.94 / Hour Job Schedule: Saturday 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location. Monitor the front desk area, greet visitors, residents, staff, and vendors, and assist with access control, visitor check‑in, and badge‑related processes according to site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with staff and/or first responders when appropriate. Answer phones, document security‑related events, maintain accurate logs and reports, and relay information to authorized personnel in support of daily operations. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 6 months of security‑related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. For unarmed roles: at least 18 years of age; for armed roles: 21+ years of age. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
