Receives, inspects and verifies quantities of printed material, office supplies and office equipment delivered from various shippers/suppliers. Maintains storage and warehousing for office supplies and equipment along with stock rotation. Verifies new equipment is properly identified with the assigned inventory number and paperwork is completed prior to delivering to designated area. Operates hydraulic lift and forklift in unloading and transporting printed material, office supplies and office equipment. Assists mailroom staff with sorting incoming and outgoing mail. Essential Functions Issues and delivers supplies, including but not limited to mail and equipment. Receives, inspects and verifies quantities of printed material, office supplies and office equipment delivered from various shippers/suppliers. Maintains storage and warehousing for office supplies and equipment along with stock rotation. Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years high school. Conditions of Employment Requires ability to up to 50 lbs, Requires ability to push/pull up to 300 lbs. Requires ability to operate forklift. Requires ability to pass a federal employment background check. Individuals selected for positions with the Illinois Disability Determination Service (DDS) must go through a complete federal background investigation suitability determination by the Social Security Administration. Those individuals meeting the state requirements for employment must first complete the federal background investigation prior to their start date. This is necessary to determine whether an employee can be issued credentials in order to have access to the Social Security Disability data, records and systems.
