Job Title: Senior Buyer
\nLocation: Tempe, AZ
\nWork Arrangement: Hybrid Schedule: 3 days onsite / 2 days offsite (based on business need)
\nEmployment Type: Contract
\nDuration: 6 months (with potential for extension or full-time conversion)
\nDomain: Aerospace / Procurement
\nPay Rate: $40/hr. (based on experience)
\nApplication Deadline: Open until filled
\n \nSKILLS REQUIRED
\n2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
\nWorking knowledge of government procurement regulations (FAR/DFARS)
\nAbility to follow established processes and operate effectively under supervision
\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills
\nSecondary (Good to Have):
\nBachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
\nStrategic mindset with strong problem-solving and process improvement skills
\nAnalytical, data-driven approach to decision-making
\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
\n \nPOSITION OVERVIEW
\nResponsible for sourcing, purchasing, and negotiating materials, equipment, and services from approved vendors. Evaluates supplier capabilities, pricing, and performance to ensure best value or lowest price/technically acceptable while maintaining compliance with government regulations, including FAR/DFARS.
\n \nROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
\nSource and procure materials, equipment, and services in accordance with company policies and government regulations (FAR/DFARS)
\nAnalyze vendor quotes, proposals, and service offerings to identify the most cost-effective and compliant solutions
\nNegotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal value
\nMaintain and strengthen supplier relationships to support quality, delivery, and cost objectives
\nMonitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing
\nEnsure procurement activities follow established procedures, internal controls, and compliance standards
