LPN/LVN Outpatient Clinic / Urgent Care

Schedule: Shift: 5x8, 07:0017:30 MonFri Rotating Saturdays, 09:0013:00

Assignment Details: Guarantee: 40 hours/week

Requirements: Minimum: 1 year nursing experience License: NY state license required Certifications: BLS EMR: EPIC preferred Unit-specific skills: Vitals, rooming, medication reconciliation Injection administration (IM & SQ), oral meds, vaccine administration 12-lead EKG, blood glucose testing Specimen collection (urine, throat/NP swabs) Simple dressing changes, ear procedures/ear drops/ear flushes Telephone triage, follow-up calls, pharmacy refills Pediatric care experience

Roles & Responsibilities: Provide nursing care to patients in an outpatient clinic and urgent care setting, focusing on pediatric patients. Conduct initial patient assessments and rooming, ensuring accurate documentation and vitals are taken. Administer injections, medications, and vaccinations as per protocols. Perform diagnostic tests including 12-lead EKGs and blood glucose checks. Collect and label specimens for further testing. Assist with simple ear procedures and manage telephone triage, follow-up calls, and pharmacy refills.
