Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to adult patients in a telemetry unit, monitoring patient conditions and responding to emergencies promptly. Ensure adherence to clinical protocols while delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient vitals and monitor cardiac activity using wireless telemetry equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Perform neurovascular checks, orthopedic precautions, and assist with mobility/repositioning.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond swiftly to patient emergencies and escalate issues as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year recent acute care telemetry nursing experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH certification preferred.
• Experience with GE wireless telemetry and Welch Allen vital sign machines preferred.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and positive attitude.
• Trauma, ortho, neuro/stroke experience highly desirable.
