VIAVI employees are passionate about supporting customer success and we welcome people who bring their best every day to the company – to question, to collaborate and to push for solutions that will delight our customers.**Duties & Responsibilities:**The Material Coordinator at Viavi Solutions Inc. is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of materials within the supply chain, supporting manufacturing operations, and maintaining inventory integrity. **Job Responsibilities:** * Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment.* Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.* Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges.* Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.* Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.* Reviews customer orders, examines, stocks and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines.* Manage and coordinate the movement of materials, including receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping.* Perform accurate inventory control tasks, including cycle counts, stock checks, and discrepancy resolution.* Utilize ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for material transactions, data entry, and report generation.* Collaborate with production, purchasing, and quality departments to ensure material availability and resolve material-related issues.* Prepare and process shipping documentation, including packing lists, bills of lading, and international shipping forms.* Operate material handling equipment such safely and efficiently (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the warehouse and material storage areas.* Identify and implement process improvements to optimize material flow and reduce waste.* Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards. **Job Qualifications:** * High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred.* 2+ years of experience in a material handling, inventory control, or logistics role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.* Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management and material transactions.* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.* Excellent organizational and time management skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.* Effective written and verbal communication skills.* Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.**Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:**If you have what it takes to push boundaries and seize opportunities, apply to join our team today.VIAVI Solutions is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer – minorities/females/veterans/persons with disabilities.**Job Posting Pay Range:**14to25Exceptional qualifications, experience and location may impact salary.
