Job Title: Welder / Fabricator

Job Description

This role involves performing MIG and TIG welding on metal components and assemblies in a manufacturing environment, with opportunities to learn and support additional fabrication processes. You will focus on producing high-quality welds, working safely with welding and fabrication equipment, and contributing to the efficient production of metal parts.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metal parts and assemblies to meet production and quality requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine welding and fabrication specifications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently, following established procedures and guidelines.
• Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Grind, clean, and prepare materials for welding and fabrication to ensure proper fit and finish.
• Assist with cutting, tube bending, and other fabrication processes as needed to support production.
• Apply mechanical aptitude and testing or quality assurance practices to verify the integrity of welds and assemblies.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures while working with welding equipment, fabrication tools, and around water.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient and safe operations.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in performing MIG and TIG welding on metal components and assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders accurately.
• Skill in setting up and operating welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Experience inspecting welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Mechanical aptitude to work with fabrication tools, equipment, and metal components.
• Ability to grind, clean, and prepare materials for welding and fabrication.
• Dependability, strong attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work around water throughout the day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience assisting with cutting, tube bending, and other fabrication processes.
• Familiarity with testing and quality assurance in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
• Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Strong focus on safety and adherence to established procedures.

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing setting that is non-climate-controlled, where you will work around water throughout the day and handle metal components and assemblies. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 70 lbs., and regularly using welding and fabrication equipment such as MIG and TIG welders, grinders, cutting tools, and tube bending machinery. You will work in a hands-on, industrial environment that prioritizes safe operation of equipment, proper handling of materials, and maintaining an organized workspace.F

This is a Contract position based out of Riviera Beach, FL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
