Inpatient Speech Pathologist - PRN - Float Pool

Shift PRN Day Shift : 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, with rotating holidays and weekends. Must be willing to work at a minimum of three medical centers. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence‑based therapy for speech, language, cognitive‑linguistic, voice, swallowing, fluency and other disorders within scope of practice. Teach patients, families and staff therapeutic procedures, exercises and routine care; facilitate communication and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Conduct evaluations under physician direction, synthesize data, diagnose, and establish measurable treatment goals. Maintain accurate, current documentation, including evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, discharge summaries and billing sheets, in compliance with ASHA, state and institutional policies. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, team meetings, in‑services, utilization reviews and other departmental activities; provide timely feedback to case managers and other key personnel. Support process improvement, recruitment and retention of staff, and act as a resource for therapy‑related issues. Qualifications Education: Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited university approved by ASHA, required before employment. Experience: Minimum of six months in a network float position; recent experience in NICU and/or adult settings preferred. Licensing: Current Arizona license to practice Speech‑Language Pathology and Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology from ASHA, required; BLS certification required; clinical fellow must have a temporary Arizona license issued by the Department of Health Services, required.
